The option of enrolling in on-line classes is available to high school students. Typically students utilize this option when they fail a class or would like to replace a low grade. It is necessary to have access to a working computer in order to participate.

There are two internet resources that are available to GHS Buccaneers. The first is called Pasco Adult Education Online.

The steps for registration:

1. The student must see his/her guidance counselor to enroll.

2. The online registration form, including the internet policy agreement, must be completed, signed and returned to the counselor.

3. Once you meet with your counselor go to:
Pasco Adult Education Online . Your login name is your first initial and entire last name and birth date: month and day only. For example, jsmith0704. Your initial password is: changeme. The next screen will then ask you to change your password. Your new password must be a combination of letters and numbers.

4. Once you are in the program, you must contact your teacher using the e-mail system within the course. Important information is usually posted on the first screen, or the “Announcements” page. Please be sure to note the teacher and course information concerning the submission policy for assignments.

Students who are enrolled in more than one Pasco Adult Education Online course must use the “Other Courses” button on the navigation bar to access the second class.

It takes approximately 2-3 days for the enrollment process to be completed.

The second option for enrolling in on-line classes is through Florida Virtual School. You can register at home although we require you to meet with your counselor prior to signing up.

The steps for registration:

1. Go to
flvs.net

2. Look for “Apply for Admission” on the left hand side of homepage.

3. Follow steps and be sure to write down your username and password.

4. Next, click on “Request New Courses”

5. Take note: after choosing the class you can request a full credit or a half credit--part 1 or part 2. Part 1 is semester 1 and part 2 is semester 2.

6. Parent must register for a "Guardian Account" and approve the course online.

7. Once you complete the request form, print it out and have your parent/guardian sign it, and bring it to your guidance counselor for school approval.
8. Upon completion of all steps you are encouraged to sign onto flvs.net on a daily basis. You will receive a message from your teacher on how to begin your class.
