You are in the home stretch now!
Only 2 more semesters and you will be a
high school graduate! Students are often
tempted to be plagued by “senioritis”. The
affliction of fourth year high school
students that causes a severe slacking in
performance. The result is typically poor
grades, loss of scholarship and a change in
post graduate plans. The cure? Continue
to work hard and keep your eyes on your
dreams! Tempting as it might be going
into vacation mode will not prove
beneficial for you. Some anti-senioritis
vaccines include:
*Signing up for ACT/SAT or re-taking them if scores were low.
*Signing up for ACT/SAT or re-taking them if scores were low.
*Focusing on getting GPA increased by working with teachers and classmates.
*Attending College Night at PHCC.
*Completing 75 hours of community service.
*Checking on Bright Futures status.
*Staying active in school events,clubs sports, etc...
*Visiting the CRC for career ideas and/or colleges.
*Talking with your counselor.
*Exploring fact.org for careerplanning.
